Practical Art

When I first got the idea of making art nails, I was not exactly worried about durability. Honestly, at that point I thought I was still going to possibly open my own salon, and specialize in full sets. Oh how far I've come! The thought of taking clients almost makes me feel faint and I NEED for my art to pass durability tests! I've screwed together bunk beds with my 3XL nails, I do laundry, I cook, and I clean. The only thing my nails don't stand a chance against is the process of making other nails!

As my interest in the artistic aspect of nails grew, I knew I wanted to make my art really accessible. I knew going to at home techs could get expensive, and I wanted an alternative for people like me. I could not afford $150 every other week and many of my sets would cost way more at a home tech or salon. Basically not only do I want to give you affordable artistic nails, and I want to give you the opportunity to wear them as much as you can.

It took me a while, dozens of brands, trial and error, and many missing charms, and popped off nails to get the formula just right. I learned that with very simple art, you can create wonderful designs that look more intimate than they are. Color changing polish, glow in the dark, and bottom nail designs are some of my favorite ways to accomplish this feat. As a stay at home mom I rarely find beautiful things to look at everyday and you can often get lost in taking care of everyone else. I find myself catching sight of my hands and feeling instantly better, I just love looking at art. Even the act of putting on my nails makes me instantly feel more confident, and that is the feeling I want to spread. I love the concept of press on nails because I never have to destroy my art, and my customers can build a collection.

The art LOOKS like its not made for everyday wear but it is. So if you wanted to venture out into getting more artsy sets, this is a good way to start and not worry about durability. Plus, no one else will have the same sets as you! Happy xPRESSing! - Renee <3
